We have been Abbey Mill tenants for the past 16 years. We have occupied 2 offices in the Embroidery Mill over the past 16 years and now looking to move again to bigger premises within the Mile End.
The facilities on offer throughout the Abbey Mill Business Centre are of a high standard, the office staff are welcoming and helpful and we are very happy being based in the Abbey Mill Business Centre and see no reason to be anywhere else. To top it off there are also excellent commuter links with close proximity to the M8 motorway, Glasgow Airport, the train link to Hawkhead railway station is a 10 minute walk and the main station at Paisley Gilmour street is also within easy walking distance as well as the large amount of parking on site.

We have been Abbey Mill tennants since 2012. We happliy occupied office space in the Embroidery Mill, but a change in direction for our business led us to look for bigger premises and found a fantastic new home in Sir James Clark building. Ground floor with our own entrance means we can move our demonstration printers in and out easily and have plenty space to show them off! The staff are always friendly and make themselves available to help whenever we need them – we wouldn’t think of being anywhere else now.
Last year Chess moved a short distance to our new home within the inspirational Abbey Mill Business Centre. When we first met with the Landlord, and looked at the office space, it was a shell, but with dedication of the maintenance team we now have 2 large open planned offices. We also liked that we could help design our offices to suit our needs and business. We also decided on bright colours to motivate our team and the views from the 5th floor are magical. It is great that they have preserved the mills, and we love being part of it.

I have been a tenant at the embroidery mill for 3 years now, I absolutely love it, the history, the building and the friendly tenants.
Recently I got offered to do pop up massage in the main reception area and it has been great for allowing me to grow my business and meet tenants I wouldn’t usually meet. The reception area is bright and airy, it has a great cafe and the receptionist is always helpful and friendly.

I have been at the Sir James Clark Building for over 2 years. I feel the free parking with plenty of spaces available is a big bonus of being in the building.
The building itself is well maintained with both the management/marketing department and security team always available for help when needed. They are extremely helpful with any queries and again a huge advantage that we have 2 maintenance people in the building.
It’s very close to the motorway which is ideal for me and my clients since I work as a financial advisor and I do have clients coming into our office as well travelling to their homes.

Stepping Stones for Families’ head office relocated from Glasgow city centre to Mile End Mill about 15 year ago. This is the longest our head office has stayed in the same location during our 30 years in existence. This says a lot for Abbey Mill Business Centre and the facilities on offer.
Headquartered in Paisley our organisation operates across the 3 Ayrshire authorities, Glasgow and Renfrewshire. The location is excellent for travel to access all sites. For outlying staff coming to head office for meetings/training there is the choice of meeting rooms in Mile End Mill and the James Clark building.
The facilities on offer are of a high standard, the office staff are welcoming and helpful and we are happy being based in Mile End Mill and see no reason to be anywhere else. Muirmedia moved into the Mile End Mill August 2018, Since that time the historic Mile End building and her sister buildings on the Abbey Mill Site have barely stayed still – much like the Forth Road Bridge they are forever being maintained and upgraded, the team at Abbeymill never rest on their laurels, they always put the tenants first and would bend over backwards to meet your needs.
I chose the Mile End building initially as I’ve always admired the buildings and had an interest in their history and involvement of the development of Paisley as a Town. Stepping inside you are not disappointed as the mix of grandness and modernity of the reception area sets the tone for the rest of the building – a great fusion of new and old.
Whenever I have new clients arrive I give them the same tour I received from Louise when I first came to view the development, 99% are as impressed as I was with the building and especially the hub on the 4th floor. There’s been quite a few mentions of how they ‘would love to move their businesses here’.
This year I decided Muirmedia had outgrown the starter office I had on the 5th Floor and have now taken up residence on the 1st floor of the Old Embroidery Mill where I have a smashing, bright and open space which is perfect for my graphic design studio. I didn’t want to necessarily move from the Mile End building but happy I found a space that seems to be just right.
Here’s to at least another couple of happy and prosperous 2 years at Abbey Mill.
Our staff and board searched throughout Paisley for premises to suit the needs of our very busy Carers Centre. We needed large and small meeting rooms, a catering space/staff kitchen and suitable office space for staff. The property owner was incredibly kind to fit out the offices to our spec for our Charity. We had an official opening at the Embroidery Mill by HRH Princess Anne and have now been here for almost 10 years. The location is good for the supermarket at Loanend and visitors always remark on the history of the Old Mill and share memories.

As soon as we discussed our needs with Louise at Abbey Mill, she showed us around ground floor units within the Sir James Clarke Building, which would suit our requirements for space but also provide the correct environment to work and display our products.

We moved to the Sir James Clark Building in 2006, having previously worked in offices nearby. The location was ideal, being within walking distance of Paisley town centre and train stations (Gilmour Street and Hawkhead) and at reasonable rates. In addition, car parking was good making the location readily commutable. Much of our business is international so that the 10 minute drive to Glasgow airport is particularly useful, as are the nearby hotels.
We enjoy good security and the building is well placed for lunch with a Morrison’s supermarket opposite. The buildings within the Abbey Mill business centre represent a significant part of Paisley’s history and a good talking point with visiting clients from afar.

We worked in Mile End Mill a few years ago and really enjoyed the vibrant working environment. There are ample car parking spaces for staff and visitors and easy access to the main road/rail infrastructure – which is great being so close to Glasgow. The gym and on site cafeteria are great facilities and are both used on a regular basis by our staff and our visitors.

I looked at many studio spaces in Paisley and Glasgow, and I couldn’t find any that ticked all the boxes like Abbey Mill does.
In general, the great office and studios spaces were the attraction, but it’s also the whole surrounding infrastructure that was a big sell for me. Clients can easily get here from all over and park easily. I also feel secure in this complex.
Also, the fact that I’m next door to a Morrisons store was an attractive draw. Which has Amazon Delivery boxes. The final selling point for me was the history surrounding Abbey Mill. My parents and many of my relatives all worked at the Abbey Mill when it was operational as a thread mill. I hope to be based here for many years.
