We have been Abbey Mill tenants for going on two years now. We occupied one office space on the second floor in the St James Building at Abbey-Mill.
The facilities on offer throughout the Abbey Mill Business Centre are of a very high standard, and they staff are very helpful, caring and we are delighted with the service provided by reception and facilities staff, being based in the Abbey Mill Business Centre and see no reason to be anywhere else.
Being a charity organisation, this Location is excellent location for our clients to get to, by bus, train, or car. Parking facilities are also available and plenty of spaces, the cafeteria in the main Abbey-Mill building has excellent service at very low prices for our clients.

Muirmedia moved into the Mile End Mill August 2018, Since that time the historic Mile End building and her sister buildings on the Abbey Mill Site have barely stayed still – much like the Forth Road Bridge they are forever being maintained and upgraded, the team at Abbeymill never rest on their laurels, they always put the tenants first and would bend over backwards to meet your needs.
I chose the Mile End building initially as I’ve always admired the buildings and had an interest in their history and involvement of the development of Paisley as a Town. Stepping inside you are not disappointed as the mix of grandness and modernity of the reception area sets the tone for the rest of the building – a great fusion of new and old.
Whenever I have new clients arrive I give them the same tour I received from Louise when I first came to view the development, 99% are as impressed as I was with the building and especially the hub on the 4th floor. There’s been quite a few mentions of how they ‘would love to move their businesses here’.
This year I decided Muirmedia had outgrown the starter office I had on the 5th Floor and have now taken up residence on the 1st floor of the Old Embroidery Mill where I have a smashing, bright and open space which is perfect for my graphic design studio. I didn’t want to necessarily move from the Mile End building but happy I found a space that seems to be just right.
Here’s to at least another couple of happy and prosperous 2 years at Abbey Mill.
Thanks,
Dave Muir

Our staff and board searched throughout Paisley for premises to suit the needs of our very busy Carers Centre. We needed large and small meeting rooms, a catering space/staff kitchen and suitable office space for staff. The property owner was incredibly kind to fit out the offices to our spec for our Charity. We had an official opening at the Embroidery Mill by HRH Princess Anne and have now been here for almost 10 years. The location is good for the supermarket at Loanend and visitors always remark on the history of the Old Mill and share memories.
We would highly recommend the business centre for your needs and happy to have a chat with you.

We first moved into the Sir James Clark Building in 2012 to a unit that we were able to fully customise to our needs and transform into our bespoke dance studio. The accessibility, location and the amenities on offer here are fantastic and work perfectly for our business needs.
Being a part of the Abbey Mill Business Centre ‘family’ however, means much more than that. From the very approachable and supportive staff to the friendly neighbouring tenants there is an amazing sense of community which I cannot rate high enough. Throughout our years here we have met some very inspiring people and also formed some lovely friendships with fellow tenants. Launching and running a business is a wonderful journey that can bring some pretty unique challenges at times. This is where this family excels and will bring you, if your open to it, all the positivity, support and appreciation you would ever need to succeed.

My time here at Abbey Mill was a really pleasant one, having one of the studios on the second floor gave me such a beautiful view from my tall windows.
I was fortunate to have the room I had, especially during the Summer at dusk where radiant light that would give the room a comfy relaxing glow. The staff have been nothing short of professional and have been very pleasant to me during my time here.
Working from a listed building such as it is, was a delight for me and knowing that where I worked was a place seeped in history. Thank You

Having established ourselves in Paisley and our previous tenancy coming to an end, we had an urgent need to find new premises.
As soon as we discussed our needs with Louise at Abbey Mill, she showed us around ground floor units within the Sir James Clarke Building, which would suit our requirements for space but also provide the correct environment to work and display our products.
We loved the bright, high ceiling, open space unit with double door access for collections and deliveries. A tenancy agreement was signed within a week! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

The fact that Abbey Mill built our office to suit our needs was a huge bonus and reason to move here. We are delighted”.

At Outspoken Arts we had a vision for a bigger, more open plan space. Abbeymill were able to realise this vision and created a wonderful archway into the adjacent unit. The work was completed in a few weeks and we were truly delighted with it. And we love the great views!

I’d recommend using Abbey mill business centre, they have ideal spaces available to suit every need. I looked at many different spaces and for me Embroidery mill ticked all the boxes. Before I looked at Embroidery Mill I thought it would be way out of my budget as I have a small business in such a beautiful building they found me the perfect size of room with the rent at a reasonable price. Staff are helpful and friendly. Being close to town centre is great too.

We have been tenants in Abbey Mill Business Centre since December 2016, and can’t imagine moving anywhere else. The premises are bright and fresh, there’s a fabulous on-site café, and we can even bring our dog to work. Oh, and parking is never a problem. Five stars from us.

I looked at the various business centres in Paisley and decided on Abbey Mill for several reasons; the reception area is very impressive, my clients expect a professional environment, the security is a big bonus and the car parking is perfect for myself and my clients. When you walk into Mile End Mill you always get a friendly welcome from reception and as a tenant I feel we are kept updated on what is happening within the building.

We moved to the Sir James Clark Building in 2006, having previously worked in offices nearby. The location was ideal, being within walking distance of Paisley town centre and train stations (Gilmour Street and Hawkhead) and at reasonable rates. In addition, car parking was good making the location readily commutable. Much of our business is international so that the 10 minute drive to Glasgow airport is particularly useful, as are the nearby hotels.
We enjoy good security and the building is well placed for lunch with a Morrison’s supermarket opposite. The buildings within the Abbey Mill business centre represent a significant part of Paisley’s history and a good talking point with visiting clients from afar.

I brought my business here almost ten years ago and have experienced great support from the centre. It’s not just somewhere to trade, it’s a great benefit to my business image being in such a historical building. The location is perfect with it being just outside the heart of the town and more than ample parking for my clients.

We love that we get to start our business in a building that is such an integral part of Paisley’s history and heritage. We’ve tried to uncover as many of the original features as we can and we’re so delighted with the space that we have in The Gatehouse at Abbey Mill Business Centre.

Epitome Soft Furnishings has moved into Sir James Clark building in January 2018 after spending 6 months in The Old Embroidery Mill where we quickly outgrew our Studio space. Abbey Mill Business Centre is a perfect fit for our business identity.

Abbey mill ticks all the boxes for me as a business owner. The building itself has so much character, which is a great talking point with all my clients. It is very well managed and the staff are always quick to help with any questions and problems you may have.
My studio is beautiful, the big windows and stunning original flooring was the perfect blank canvas to turn my vision into a reality. Choosing Abbey Mill as my first premises was the best business decision I have made so far.

We worked in Mile End Mill a few years ago and really enjoyed the vibrant working environment. There are ample car parking spaces for staff and visitors and easy access to the main road/rail infrastructure – which is great being so close to Glasgow. The gym and on site cafeteria are great facilities and are both used on a regular basis by our staff and our visitors.

I looked at many studio spaces in Paisley and Glasgow, and I couldn’t find any that ticked all the boxes like Abbey Mill does.
In general, the great office and studios spaces were the attraction, but it’s also the whole surrounding infrastructure that was a big sell for me. Clients can easily get here from all over and park easily. I also feel secure in this complex.
Also, the fact that I’m next door to a Morrisons store was an attractive draw. Which has Amazon Delivery boxes. The final selling point for me was the history surrounding Abbey Mill. My parents and many of my relatives all worked at the Abbey Mill when it was operational as a thread mill. I hope to be based here for many years.
